Pi Day 2021 Video 7: Quantum Mechanical Derivation of the Wallis Formula
This is an updated version of my seventh video in celebration of Pi Day 2021! Here I present the main result of a 2015 paper in which physicists O. I. Chashchina and Z. K. Silagadze derived the Wallis formula not from pure mathematics, but from theoretical physics. In particular, they derived it from a theoretical consideration of the Hydrogen atom. Hope you dig it!
