Join me on a day trip to Novogrudok (Новогрудок) in Grodno Oblast where I stumbled into the town party in Ploschad Lenina (Площадь ленина), got chatting to the locals and took in Novogrudok Castle (Новогрудский замок) or what's left of it. The Swedish Army of King Charles XII destroyed the castle in 1706.
