Do yourself a favor & plant these 3 crops ASAP

Today, we're talking about the THREE crops that YOU NEED to grow this spring & summer. We've got a mix, and you're going to love each one. 0:23 Intro We have about three to four hundred seed varieties in our catalog, and I've grown & tested many more. There are a few specific plants, though, that I recommend just about everyone grows. Take a peek inside my greenhouse, and it's filling up with tomato plants. A lot of these varieties can get downright huge. So that's why we're kicking things off you can do even if you don't have a yard. 1:03 This tiny tom https://sandiegoseedcompany.com/product/vegetables/tomatoes/tiny-tim-tomato-seeds/ The Tiny Tim Tomato is a dwarf heirloom variety that stays super small. You just need a medium-sized pot, and this little guy can be happy on a balcony, porch, or even a windowsill. It produces great little fruits that are so fun to pluck. It's such a cute plant that anyone can grow. When you buy a pack, there are a ton of seeds inside so it's perfect to save a few for yourself and share the rest with friends. Unless you live in a cave, you can grow this. Even this, just set it out in front of your cave. This determinate variety is super user-friendly and a great option for experts and beginners alike! 2:45 Cherry but not on a tree? https://sandiegoseedcompany.com/product/husk-cherry/organic-peruvian-ground-cherry-seeds/ The Peruvian ground cherry takes up a bit more space than our first recommendation, but you're going to want this epic, productive plant in your yard if you have some space. The small, DELICIOUS fruit are the perfect combo of sweet, tart, and tangy. It's a very low-maintenance plant (no pest & disease issues for us here in San Diego), and it grows like a weed. We hack it all the way back in the winter, and it bounces right back and gets loaded with fruit. It can even produce fruit year-round (I'm snacking on this in mid-February), although production will slow down in the winter. The cute little lanterns will remind you of tomatillos, but these won't get much larger than a marble. When they're ripe, they'll drop to the ground (hence the name), or you can be an eager beaver like me and take a peek inside the papery outside as it turns to brown and see if the fruit is yellow and ripe. I can eat a ton of them right off the bush, but it's such a prolific producer that we also love to dehydrate them or make jams and jellies. This plant loves warm weather so you want to order your seeds now and get those seedlings going so you can enjoy them this summer. Start similarly to a tomato. You can pot it up and then transplant it into a part of your yard with full sun where this can expand and become a permanent part of your garden. Once you have a plant, it's easy to grow more from seed or from cuttings. 5:41 More than just a flower https://sandiegoseedcompany.com/product/flowers/pacific-beauty-calendula-seeds/ Calendula is an absolute rockstar in the garden. It doesn't just look nice, but it's also a great medicinal plant to grow. We use the blooms to make a salve for our hands every year. It's such an easy flower to grow whether you harvest them for medicinal purposes, snip them to make cut flower arrangements, or let the flowers develop for seed saving. They come in a variety of colors to bring a beautiful array of colors to your space. They're a super easy plant to grow from seed. You can transplant them or even direct sow them after there is any chance of frost. As the weather warms up, they'll take off rewarding you with great color and helpful pollinators in your area.
