Samsung Galaxy S8 Launch With 5 7 Inch and 6 2 Inch Screens
It will be an understatement to say that the future of Samsung's mobile business will be shaped by the launch of the Galaxy S7's successor, expected to be named Galaxy S8, which will launch in the first half of next year. As per latest reports, the company will launch its next flagship smartphone in two screen size variants - but this time, make them much larger than previous years - 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch.As per famous tipster Evan Blass, Samsung Galaxy S8 models will have model numbers SM-G950 and SM-G955 for 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch screen sizes respectively. This means that the company will skip model number series SM-G94x, after SM-G93x was used for Galaxy S7 series. This is reportedly due to South Korean superstition regarding number '4'. Interestingly, Blass also tips that a phone with model number SM-N950 is in the works, indicating that Samsung may launch a Note series smartphone later in the year - though what branding it will ultimately take is not yet known. In previous leaks, Samsung Galaxy S8 has been tipped to come with a full edge-to-edge OLED display with 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. Little to no bezel would effectively mean that the company will be able to offer larger screen sizes without having to increase the actual size of the smartphones by much. As per earlier leaks, Samsung Galaxy S8 was tipped to sport a 5.5-inch 4K (2160x3840 pixels) Super AMOLED display with impressive pixel density of 806ppi. It is further expected to pack company's own Exynos 8895 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM.
