Malacca City is historic colonial city in Malacca, Malaysia. It is a complex of about a dozen historical buildings of colonial architecture, located in the heart of Malacca, Malaysia. Along with the city of Georgetown, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an example of unique architectural forms that are not found in any other country in Southeast Asia. At present, the buildings on Red Square, along with the ruins of the Church of St. Paul and the Portuguese fortress "Formosa", are a branch of the Malacca Complex Museum. The complex of buildings that were used as the administration of the Dutch governor was built in 1650. In 1824, when Malacca passed to Great Britain, the buildings began to be used by the British colonial authorities. The former Calvinist Christ Church is currently the oldest surviving Dutch building built in Southeast Asia. Currently, the temple houses the Museum of History and Ethnography, which displays various exhibits and artifacts relating to the history of Malacca. Filmed in 2018.
