Blue - Marco Ramelli - Homage to Vincent van Gogh - Brian Farrell Guitar

I’ve always planned to start working on contemporary music as I was heavily involved in it some years ago. For some reason to date, I never recorded any of it, but what a great place to start. Marco’s ‘Blue’ (Homage to Van Gogh) really captivated me when I first heard Lorenzo Micheli (dedicatee) play it, and out of the ‘blue’, I was hooked! Marco reflects in his introduction that he was always fascinated by the use of colour by the Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh - in particular his skies. The second source of inspiration came from van Gogh's letters written to his Brother Theo detailing all the different emotions the painter went through during his life.
