T21030100281 - X50 Plus smartphone from Gearbest.com - Not as Described
This video is to support a claim against Gearbest.com. The item delvered is "not as described" on their website. The X50 Plus smartphone purchased has a camera resolution of less than 2mp but described as 13mp. According to www.imei.info, the operating system appears to be 6.0 but is described as Android 10. (There are other anomalies detailed in imei.info). There isn't a Dark Theme under Settings:Display - this is a new feature introduced in Android 10. The API is 19 which suggests Android 4.4. Dalvik virtual machine which was replaced by Android runtime (ART) after Android 4. The system.build.prop file contains the number 10 only. In a "real" system this file should contain lots of build properties and this suggests that the operating system is faked to look like Android 10. So, my conclusion is that the smartphone purports to be something it's not. ie. the supplier/manufacturer and/or Gearbest are scamming people into buying this device. It is clearly not as described. Gearbest have continued to fob me off saying that they are awaiting a reply from their supplier. If the supplier/manufacturer are scamming people I believe they will never respond. Gearbest say that customer satisfaction is their priority and yet they have corresponded for one month via their ticket process and haven't refunded the money plus shipping for the "fake" item. They also imply that I am lying by asking for a video such as this. This is unacceptable. I want my money back sooner rather than later so I can move on from this horrible experience with Gearbest.com.
