This scanner uses cool LED light source to scan each frame individually so that it will not burn the film. For super 8 only, not for Regular 8 film. Very noisy while capturing. 50 feet of film takes 2.5 hours to scan, occupy 1 Gb of hard disk space. If the film joints are bad, the machine will stop. The avi quality is very good at HD1080.
