Cisco Networks Linksys E2500 Dual Band 5 GHz / 2.4 GHz N Router - Refurbished Unboxing & Review

http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/ I just received our Cisco Certified Refurbished Linksys E2500 wireless dual band 5.4 GHz / 2.4GHz N internet router. The included installation disc did not work. So I downloaded the Cisco Connect Software to setup the router. It told me twice on two different laptops (Win 7 & XP) that setup did not finish correctly. :( So Instead I went straight to the 192.168.1.1 router address, clicked "use router unsecured" and then got to the admin page. (Default password is "admin" - leave login blank). From there it was the usual easy setup of the wireless and guest wireless passwords along with changing the SSD to my usual name. I got mostly the same speeds from my Time Warner Cable "Turbo" 20mbs internet connection with the E2500 and my very old Linksys WRT54G. Although the wireless did seem quicker with a stronger signal in the farthest corners of our home while using the SpeedTest app on my Samsung Galaxy S3. I mostly bought this refurbished router ($37.95) for the guest wireless network feature. I plan on selling the WRT54G for $20 on Craigslist.
