DarkRP HIGHLIGHTS[SMURFRP]
Hello. The footage was recorded during 2 weeks after the server opened, it very neis yes. I had more clips, but neither I had the patience to edit more or the time. __________________________________________________ This is a re-upload, as the first version was to quiet Server IP: gone Server address: gone Server discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/CGGuc5b As of now, if anyone is reading this, SmurfRP has closed down. SmurfRP was a weird, friendly, at one point very big DarkRP community. It was one of the last 'classic' DarkRP servers and couldn't hold up after several re-openings, with other servers having a bigger budget and new, more complicated game mechanics and addons. DarkRP as a community has degraded quite a lot and many don't understand how nice the community was a few years ago (9 years as of writing this - 2022, fuck). This game, in particular the SmurfRP community, helped me stay sane during a few periods of my life, for which I am very thankful. A brief thanks to the current and previous owners of SmurfRP: j0rpi - founder of SmurfRP. Never new the guy, but can't not be grateful for him starting this whole thing. He was known for building the community to considerable heights. Just for archiving, here is an old GitHub repo for the original SmurfRP server - https://github.com/j0rpi/SmurfRP-Source Avalanche - a man of few (but wise) words. As I remember, the guy disappeared for a few years but eventually came back and was still here for the last re-opening of the server. Bob Marley - the most down-to-earth owner that this server had, very chill and forthcoming. Finally, Markus - the current owner of the now archived SmurfRP. He did his very best to hold the community afloat. Though, after the many IP address changes the server went through, only the most loyal members stayed. The most awkward, friendly and fun owner the server had, hands down. We had our fun, he and a guy (at one point co-owner) TripleSix aka Kevin tried other projects to keep the community afloat, but, sadly, any good story must have an ending. I still remember Kevin joining the server for the first or second time and me warning him for being a dickhead. SmurfRP and, well, Markus made me realize what career I wanted to pursue - programming. Literally learned Python only because I thought it would be smarter to start with that, before learning Lua, which I regret a little bit, as I would have had a chance to actually try to develop addons for a live server. This community came into my life at the right time, at the right place and I can only slip in to nostalgia when I come across anything related to it.
