Jim Bates is a Revolution skateboard team rider from Newbury Park, California. Jim first turned pro in 2002 and has traveled around the world doing demos and signings. He also appeared in various magazines and videos over the years. He won the Eric Koston game of S.K.A.T.E. in 2005. He has recently written and illustrated a children's book called "The Boy Who Skated with Dragons". Come meet Jim at the shop, he will be there on Saturday December 6th, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. to sign copies of his book and will be reading it to the kids. Recommended ages 12 and younger, but all ages are welcome. This picture book is fun and exciting and full of positive messages. It's also a great gift for the holidays. Hope to see you there!
