NHL 96 Season 1, Game 2: Chicago vs. St. Louis

For some reason, I keep losing my save data from the emulator and I couldn't load a game from a saved state. I powered through and managed to start up game 2 against St. Louis but I'm finding that the controls just aren't working the same way I remember.
