04.6. Send Effects
📁 Pointblank Music School: Easy Guide to Logic Pro 🎬 04. Adding Effects and Finalising Your Music ✔️ 06. Send Effects So far, we have looked closely at insert effects. Insert effects are audio effects that are directly added on signal pathway of track altering dry signal (signal without any effects) into wet signal (signal with effects). Typically, dynamic-processing effects like compressors, EQs and filters are used as insert effects. Another way of adding effects is to set up signal pathway called bus and send dry signal to auxiliary channel where audio effects are inserted. his way, wet signal is separated from dry signal, allowing more control over wet signal without affecting dry signal. It also allows us to share these effects over multiple tracks, giving consistency across mix. These effects are called send effects. Time-based effects like reverb and delay are often used as send effects, because when amount of space is not controlled, it can easily lead to muddy mix. This video explains difference between insert and send effects and demonstrates setting up send effect using auxiliary channel.
