New Year New Build! I9-12900K, ASRock Z690 Taichi, Corsair DDR5 Primary System Upgrade #FixedAudio
Hello YouTube! This is take two on this video as the original upload had audio issues, mainly due to my own incompetence. Luckily Davinci Resolve came to the rescue as I was able to boost the 3 muted clips to audible levels. Anyway, in this video I'll do a quick overview of my main system upgrade. I was able to snag all components at MSRP included the DDR5 RAM. I upgraded my Z390 machine mainly for future looking reasons (DDR5, PCIe Gen 5) and that I personally believe prices will increase throughout next year. This will allow me to solidify my 3090, i9-12900k system as high performing for the next 5 years or so. I will also be able to potentially upgrade to Raptor Lake once it launches and pick up better DDR5 RAM (probably gonna be a few years for that). System Spec are as follows ASRock Z690 Taichi i9 12900k 32GB Corsair DDR5 @ 5200MHz EVGA RTX 3090 Corsair HX110i 240mm AIO Corsair Obsidian 750D Case Samsung 980 Pro 2TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe primary boot drive 2 x Samsung 970 1TB PCIe Gen 3 NVMe storage drives 2 x Samsung 850 500GB SATA storage drives (from my old 990FX build) 4 x WD Black 5TB SATA storage drives 2 x Seagate 2TB SATA storage drives 2 x Seagate 1TB SSHD storage drives 2 x Optical media drives (1 Blu Ray + 1 HD DVD) Rosewill USB 3.0 Card Reader Broadcom/LSI 9300-8i PCIe 3.0 x8 SAS HBA Hauppauge Colossus 2 PCIe capture card Sound Blaster AE-5 PCIe Sound card Windows 10 Pro Part II will include benchmarks and a small maintenance update where I will probably do the following... 1. Install an additional two 140mm fans for a push/pull config on the HX110i 2. Reroute a few cables and change out a few connectors (like the right angle USB cable on the PSU) 3. Install a physical TPM 2.0 Chip 4. Install Colossus 2 and 1 x 5TB WD Black drive. My last possible upgrade would be to add another drive cage (if I could find one) to use the remaining 3 SATA ports on the MB. Remember don't like, don't comment, don't subscribe.
