DIY Home Automation for Electric Car Charging
https://300mpg.org/2018/07/22/diy-home-automation-controller-for-electric-car-charging/ We build a box to automate Electric Car charging using a smart switch and a home automation system. Step by step directions. Parts list below. This system allows me to charge my electric car at whatever time I want to, using a timer, a remote, and through programming including variables. This allows me to avoid charging at peak electric use times. I'm also planning on doing some experimenting to integrate my solar into the home automation system. Once that was realized, it was corrected by mounting the neutral bus to a non-conductive spacer with no electrical connection to the mounting screws.
