Painting Car Parts Outside vs. a Paint booth | ReveMoto

Hello folks! We are going to compare a paint job outside and in a booth. Which do you think will come out better? We're painting the 2020 Toyota Tundra end caps for reference! We thought it would be great to show the difference between painting in our very expensive paint booth compared to painting outside. We started out painting in a garage environment and were lucky enough to get a very old paint booth when we first started. We had a lot of issues at first because you cannot grow without making some mistakes. We have several videos on getting started or painting for beginners. This video was a fun experiment for us to do. Not everyone can afford a paint booth and not everyone is going to be painting every day. It only makes sense that you paint outside or in your own garage. We have a very nice paint booth now but we still get the occasional debris & dirt. The main reason for a paint booth is to filter out all the chemicals when painting, especially when you paint as much as us. It is regulated by the city/county to have a certain setup for business. Most of you DIYers won't have to worry about that but you still want to be in an open and spacious environment. The key is ventilation because paint chemicals are harmful and flammable. You definitely want to make sure that you are as safe as possible. We thought painting outside would make a great comparison because a lot of people do it and you really just have to get the ground wet. We didn't spray our floor outside but it's probably the best way to keep dirt from coming up. We applied the same method to paint our Tundra front-end caps using the same materials. It was important that we keep the same variables in our test. The one variable we could not change was the compressor. We used a much smaller compressor, maybe one that is more accessible. The pressure on the gun does make a huge difference and we think that did play a factor in the final paint job. We hope you enjoy the video and are encouraged to paint regardless of having a paint booth or not. Please let us know what you think or if you want to see something else from us! ________________________________________________________ #howtopaintcars #automotivepainting #beginnersguide #paintedautoparts #howto #tutorial #DIY #panelpaint #revemoto #learntopaintcars #automotivepaintprocess #qualitymatters #paintingcarsoutside #nopaintbooth DISCLAIMER: While ReveMoto tries to make the information in this video as accurate as possible, we make no claims, promises, or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of the content.
