STEAM WVU Technical Art History, Nov 8, 2021
Are you good at science but also love art? Have you ever wondered who cares for the lunar lander, how Michelangelo’s David is dusted, what kind of paints Van Gogh used for the Starry Night, or which glue is needed to fix an Egyptian mummy? If so, you might be interested in a career in Technical Art History – an innovative and creative interdisciplinary area of art history, that combines expertise from art conservators, historians, archaeologists, imaging, forensics, materials scientists and engineers. West Virginia University is the first university in the United States to offer a BA degree in Technical Art History. Join us for our STEAM event (science, technology, engineering, art, math) to find out more about what we do.
