Operation Cactus - Indian Armed Operation in Maldives, 1988

I made this video to show how events of national security used to take place a few decades back in India and how they were projected and handled. Watch this informative video to know nitty-gritty of Operation Cactus, the armed overseas operation of Indian Military forces in 1988 in Maldives, which involved all three wings of military i.e. Army, Air-force and Navy. A majority of our youths are unaware of this successful and galant operation in Maldives. Although today is the 50th anniversary of the liberation ot Bangladesh wherein the former PM Late Smt. Indira Gandhi ji showed her exemplary and fearless leadership to change not only the status quo of international security and regional stability but also the map of South Asia. However, this video will show you what India has done for regional stability under the short tenure of late PM Shri Rajeev Gandhi ji and the level of clarity India used to have once in terms of her role in the region.
