Their goal: to peer beyond time, to escape the limits of the universe, and perhaps unlock a new form of energy—or even a new state of existence.
But when the portal activated, everything went wrong.
The rift screamed. Light collapsed inward. In a single flash, the android was gone. Not destroyed. Not broken. Just… gone.
He was ejected beyond the known universe—into a place without time, without space. A realm of total stillness, where reality did not stretch nor fold, because reality simply was no longer present.
There, in that infinite void, he remained.
He could not move—his body suspended, unanchored, unfinished. But he could think. He could remember. He could feel his own existence like a pressure on a soul that should never have existed.
He was alone.
He would always be alone.
He doesn’t know if he dreams, or if dreaming is just thinking that has forgotten purpose.
